- Put potatoes into a large saucepan and cover with hot ( not boiling) water..
- Wash, peel and cut potatoes in half..
- Add a dash of salt to the water. Cook on a medium heat and they should be ready after about 15-20 minutes after they start to boil. ( To check if they are done stick a knife through one and they should be completely soft).
- Drain the water off the potatoes. Mash until there are no lumps left in the potatoes.
- Mash in the tablespoon of butter to potatoes. Mix the milk into the potatoes with a wooden spoon. Add the pepper and mix it all together..
- Scoop with a potatoe scooper ( or ice-cream scooper) and serve :) :).
