Ingredients of Chicken Tinola

  1. Prepare 1 kg of chicken cut into pieces.
  2. Prepare 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
  3. You need 5 cloves of garlic, crushed.
  4. Prepare 1 of finger sized ginger, sliced.
  5. Make ready 1 of medium red onion, sliced.
  6. Make ready 1 tsp of fish sauce.
  7. Take 1 tsp of ground black pepper.
  8. It’s 3 cups of water.
  9. You need 1 of chicken cube.
  10. Make ready 1 1/2 cups of sayote or unripe papaya, sliced.
  11. You need 1 of red bell pepper, juliened.
  12. Make ready 2 cups of chilli or malunggay leaves.

Chicken Tinola step by step

  1. Heat cooking oil in a large pot.
  2. Sauté garlic, ginger and onion until fragrant.
  3. Add in the chicken pieces and sauté for 5 mins.
  4. Add in the fish sauce and black pepper and pour in the water and sayote.
  5. Bring to boile and simmer for 5 minutes to cook the chicken.
  6. Add in the chicken cube and bell pepper and simmer for another 3 minutes.
  7. Finally, add in the chilli leaves and simmer for 2 minutes before turning off the heat..
  8. Serve with steamed rice and enjoy!.
