Vada ladoo Recipe. Rawa Laddu is a diwali sweet which is made up using Semolina / Sooji. It's a kind of must sweet in Diwali Faral in Marathi Households.

Ingredients of Vada ladoo

  1. Prepare 1 1/2 cup of split chickpeas.
  2. It’s 1 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. Take 1/2 cup of water.
  4. It’s 1 tsp of food colour.
  5. It’s 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
  6. Make ready pinch of saffron string.
  7. Make ready as needed of cashew nuts.
  8. You need 1/2 cup of melon seeds.
  9. You need 3 cup of oil for frying.
  10. It’s As needed of silver leaf (optional).
  11. It’s 1 tsp of ghee.

  1. Take split chickpeas in a bowl,soak it for 2 hours in warm water.now throw the water & grind it into thick batter..
  2. Now deep/shallow fry small fritters just for few minutes,till slightly golden colour(pic2)fry all fritters and cool them.
  3. Now make sugar syrup,take a big vessel add in sugar and water.when it start boiling,add in colour, cardamom powder and saffron strings.boil till you get 1 string.(pic3).
  4. Now coarsely grind all the fritters,now add in the sugar syrup and mix well.now off the flame and cover it and let it soak all the syrup..
  5. Now slightly fry the cashews and melon seed in ghee.now add the cashews and melon seeds into the LADDU mixture,now make small LADDU.
  6. Decorate with silver leaf (optional) and nuts..
