Juicy on the inside, crispy and golden brown on the outside, these Japanese pan-fried dumplings, Gyoza, are popular weeknight meal as well as a great appetizer for your next dinner party. Japanese gyoza are like Chinese dumplings and potstickers but use thinner skins and finely ground meat.

Ingredients of Gyoza

  1. Prepare 1 cup of ground beef (340g).
  2. It’s 5 oz of cabbage finely chopped (5/8 cup).

  15. Prepare 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  16. It’s 1/2 cup of water.

Gyoza step by step

  1. In a large mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Or use a food processor if you have one..

  7. In nonstick cooking pan, pour sesame oil and vegetable oil and fry the bottom of the gyoza until brown..
  8. Add water and cover to steam cook gyoza. Serve hot and enjoy..
