Ingredients of Black Forest Cake
- It’s 1 box of Chocolate cake mix.
- You need 1 box of Chocolate pudding (large box).
- Take 1 can of Cherry pie filling (21oz).
- It’s 8 oz of Cool whip.
Black Forest Cake instructions
- Make cake as instructed on box (fyi- I use milk instead of water) and bake.
- Meanwhile prepare pudding as directed on box and chill while cake is baking/cooling.
- When cake is done baking cut into squares and begin layering in your trifle bowl.
Layer 1- cake Layer 2- pudding Layer 3- cherries (I usually just put the cherries around the sides of the bowl because I don't really love too much of that canned cherry flavor. If you do and you want to use an entire layer of cherries make sure you have 2 cans) Layer 4- cool whip
Start over til you reach the top of the bowl and decorate as you wish :).
- Chill for 4+ hours.
