Ingredients of Easy Chicken Pot Roast

  1. Prepare 600 grams of chicken thigh & breast pieces.
  2. Take 1 teaspoon of Dry spices : turmeric, garam masala/all spice powder.
  3. It’s of Salt to season.
  4. It’s Handful of chopped cilantro.
  5. Make ready of Juice of 1/2 a lemon.
  6. Take 3-4 tablespoon of oil.

  8. Prepare 1 inch of ginger.
  9. Prepare 2-3 of garlic pods.
  10. Take 2 of small onions.
  11. Take 2-3 of dried red chillies (more or less according to your taste).

  13. Take 1/2 cup of water.

Easy Chicken Pot Roast instructions

  1. Peel and roughly chop the gravy ingredients.
  2. Bring the water to boil.
  3. Add the gravy ingredients and reduce heat.
  4. Cook covered for 5 minutes.
  5. Take off heat after 5 minutes and discard most of the water.
  6. Use some to blend the ingredients into paste(if needed add water/can do without it).
  7. Transfer the paste into a bowl.
  8. Heat oil in a wok.
  9. Add the gravy paste, reduce heat and sauté till oil separates.
  10. Now add the dry spices and season with salt. Mix.
  11. Add the chicken and coat them well with the gravy.
  12. Cover and cook till chicken is ready (no additional water needed).
  13. Once ready,ie, when the chicken softens and the gravy has been reduced, take off heat.
  14. Add lemon juice and cilantro. Mix well and plate the chicken.
